Immersed In Nature & Luxury

Private Game Reserve Suites

Elegance & Comfort

Our Suites

Our beautifully appointed suites nestle amongst indigenous bush and trees that provide privacy, quiet and a haven for birds. The epitome of elegance and comfort, the décor is a blend of colonial and classic with hand-crafted furniture, fine linen, and beautiful artwork. Three Executive and four Luxury Suites offer a unique ‘Out of Africa’ experience with canvas roofs above draped ceilings set on permanent structures. All have magnificent bathrooms and decks looking onto waterholes in the bush. All suites have private, heated plunge pools.

The thatched Savanna Suite is tailor-made for families, with two en-suite bedrooms on either side of a spacious, elegant lounge and large covered patio. The bedroom suites with their individual bathrooms, can also be booked separately, in which case they would not include the lounge, private vehicle, and guides which are part of the Savanna Suite package.

Travel Documents

Travel documents, such as passports and visas to enter the country, are the responsibility of the individual guest.

Important: South Africa Immigration Requirements

South African passport control has become very strict, to the point of deporting a number of guests due to their passports not complying with requirements. Passports MUST be valid for at least six months from the guest’s return date. We recommend a validity of nine months to prevent any problems in this regard. There must be at least three blank visa pages in the passport (not endorsement pages). Guests have been refused entry due to not having sufficient visa pages in their passports.

Non-Smoking Policy

In the interest of health and safety, Savanna observes a strict non-smoking policy. Smoking is not allowed in the suites or on game drives. It is only permitted in designated smoking areas in the lodge, and during drinks breaks on game drives.

Arrival & Departure

Guests may arrive any time from 13h00, and the rooms are to be vacated by 11h00. Please note that the game drive departs at 16h00 in summer and at 15h30 in winter.

An on site emergency medical service is available which includes evacuation to a private hospital in Nelspruit if necessary.

Since malaria is present in the Mpumalanga region where Savanna is situated, it is essential to ensure that anti-malaria precautions be taken throughout the year. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Further information can be obtained from the Kruger National Park Malaria Hotline on +27 (0) 822341800.
